Library Staff

Mrs. Moore
Mrs. Moore has been the librarian at Roadrunner since 2003.  Reading has always been an important part of her life.  As a child she loved going to the library - the school library, the public library and the Bookmobile.   Today she still loves going to the library and treasures the opportunity to help students discover the magic of a good book.

Mrs. Gray is the new library technician. She is happy to be joining the Roadrunner library team!

Library Hours

Library hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.


Our Library's Purpose

The purpose of the Roadrunner Library is to support our students' education as lifelong learners and readers by putting resources in the hands of students, encouraging students to read, teaching students the skills necessary to evaluate information, and encouraging student responsibility.


Guidelines and Expectations

The Roadrunner Library Circulation Guidelines

  • Kindergarten through first grade students generally check out one book at a time as they learn how to take care of books and how to return them in a timely fashion. Checkout period is for one six-day cycle.
  • Kindergarten and First Grade students have access to the Easy Picture Books and Easy Non-Fiction sections of the library. Kindergarten students may keep their books at school during the first week or so while learning book care and library practices.
  • Second through Sixth Grade students generally check out two books at a time, although extra books are allowed for classroom projects and contests. The circulation period is for one six-day cycle.
  • Staff members have unlimited circulation access to the items in the student and teacher resource collection
Behavior and Environment in the Library

The Roadrunner Elementary School Library is a vibrant learning environment. Our students are expected to demonstrate the school rules while using the library resources. They are respectful, responsible and do their personal best whether using the library with their class, a small group or individually. They show a deep commitment to caring for the books, equipment and other resources in the library. When using the library independently, they bring their pass and use the resources purposefully while showing respect for the other activities taking place in the library.
